
Avner Zabari
Born near Tel Aviv, Avner Zabari now resides and creates art in South Florida. Fascinated with the temperament of wood, Zabari developed an expertise in staining and constructing wooden pieces. This knowledge birthed a passion for creating whimsical and functional art-replete with physical hidden compartments and psychological motifs and metaphors.
After premiering his art form in New York, Zabari was invited to the illustrious American Craft Council show in Baltimore (1996). With an expeditious rise in the art world, Zabari has enjoyed having his work coveted as contemporary art. Adored for his use of unconventional materials and subtle symbolic playfulness, Zabari continues to push his design aesthetic. Zabari's curious pieces-whimsically, provocative and functional - add personality to any space. Currently, his in-demand work is being collected in Japan, Europe, Australia, South Africa, and throughout the United States of America.
