Experience an awakening of your spirit as contemporary abstract artist Maria Di Russo guides you through an intuitive art-making journey. Working with collage and acrylics, Di Russo will teach you how to find freedom through art. Enjoy an invorgation of your soul as you find freedom through art. Following the art making journey, Dr. Lawrence Levy will help you to unwrap and make sense of the emotional clues that are visually released. A healing experience, this class will invigorate the mind, unburden the body from the agony of stressors, and promote personal growth. No previous experience is necessary. (This class is taught in English and Spanish. Lunch is also included.)
Maria Di Russo remarkably fuses disciplined, traditional Oriental artistry with contemporary abstract expressionist freedom. Formally trained around the globe by Japanese and Chinese masters, Di Russo articulates the rich history of ink brush painting with her own innovative techniques. The result of her truly free expression is imagery with strong color and dynamic composition that whispers an Asian heritage. Di Russo creates cross-cultural and transcendental imagery that results in an idiosyncratic dialetic. Her imagery invites projection and prolonged consideration as the forms dance, evolve and glisten.
